ERWIN – A Harnett County school teacher is accused of having a sexual relationship with a student.
On July 9, testimony was presented to a Harnett County Grand Jury concerning allegations against Triton High School teacher Makenzie Deray Parham.
The Harnett County Grand Jury issued True Bill of Indictments on Makenzie Parham for two counts of sexual activity with a student and five counts of indecent liberties with a student.
The indictment followed an extensive investigation by the Harnett County Sheriff’s Office that began two months ago.
On July 11, Parham surrendered herself to the Harnett County Sheriff’s Office on the outstanding charges. She was given a $70,000 bond.
