SMITHFIELD – The Johnston County Public Health Department announced registered nurse Angela “Angie” Leamy has been selected for the Dr. Ann Wolfe Memorial Scholarship by the North Carolina Perinatal Association. The Scholarship is awarded to only two nominees who demonstrate commitment to improving the health and welfare of women and infants in North Carolina.
Mrs. Leamy was nominated by her supervisor, Danielle Kipp. Mrs. Kipp notes that Mrs. Leamy is, “Approachable, detail oriented, a team player, dedicated to the families she serves, and is incredibly deserving of such an honor.”
