The NC Department of Transportation will completely close a section of NC Highway 27 (West Main Street) inside the Benson city limits beginning on Monday, January 27th for culvert replacement.
The project is expected to last about one month with estimated completion around February 28.
A detour route has been established.
For those heading into Benson on NC 27 — Mingo Road to Benson Hardee Road to NC 50 and back on NC 27 (West Main Street).
For those heading out of town on NC 27 — NC 50 to Benson Hardee Road to Mingo Road and back on NC 27.
