BENSON – The State Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of a serious two vehicle accident Friday afternoon in southern Johnston County. The collision was reported around 2:30pm at the intersection of Highway 50 and Eldridge Road.
Initial reports indicated there were multiple injuries. First responders arrived and found one person with serious injuries and two others with minor injuries.
The intersection was closed for more than an hour until the scene could be cleared.
Johnston County EMS, Four Oaks EMS, the Meadow Fire Department and Johnston County Sheriff’s Office responded.
