Smithfield Police are looking for a tractor trailer driver that caused $27,000 in damage to three vehicles parked outside the Chick-fil-A on North Brightleaf Boulevard
Shortly after 11:00pm Friday, police said a tractor trailer entered the parking lot going the wrong way.A witness said the mannerism of the driver indicated he may have been intoxicated.
Before leaving, the semi struck three parked vehicles, a 2007 Volkswagen causing $7,000 in damage, a 2013 Ford causing $5,000 in damage, and a 2013 Chevy causing $15,000 in damage.
The truck also caused about $500 in damage to a curb. The semi, which was also damaged, left the scene before officers arrived. Police are reviewing security camera footage in an attempt to identify the truck and driver.
