Authorities are investigating a weekend home invasion. Just before midnight Friday, Johnston County deputies responded to a home in the 2200 block of Government Road outside of Clayton.
The front door to the residence was kicked in, the living room ransacked and $1,350 in property, including a pellet gun and cash were taken.
Two men and one woman were at the address at the time of the burglary. They were not injured.
Johnston County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Tammy Amaon said the incident was not random. Detectives have been assigned to the case.
