SELMA – A homeless man was arrested at the scene of a residential break-in. Ricky Nelson Ross was arrested March 3 after deputies responded to a break-in that had just occurred in the 1800 block of Pine Level-Selma Road.
Ross was allegedly caught by the property owner at the address stealing electrical items valued at $100. When questioned by deputies, the 61 year-old suspect claimed he had permission from someone other than the property owner to be at the home.
Johnston County deputies charged Ross with felony breaking and entering and felony larceny. The electrical items were returned to the victim.
Ross was held under a $50,000 bond at the Johnston County Detention Center.
