A 44 year-old Smithfield man was robbed after returning home only to find three burglars inside his residence.
Smithfield Police said they are investigating the incident but so far haven’t made any arrests.
Around 10:30AM Friday, the victim returned to his home on W. Caroline Avenue. He was startled by three burglars who were already inside his home. A handgun was produced and the suspects robbed the victim of his credit cards and an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing.
The victim was not injured.
