State Senator Rick Horner won reelection on Tuesday to the NC Senate District 11 seat.
Horner, a Republican, whose district covers portions of Johnston and Nash counties carried 56.6 percent of the votes over Democrat challenger Albert Pacer with 43.4 percent.
In unofficial election results from the two county district, Horner received 45,418 total votes to 34,829 for Pacer.
Horner received 26,604 votes in Johnston and 18,814 in Nash. Pacer received 16,929 in Johnston and 17,900 in Nash.
