House Fire Being Treated As Suspicious

A fire just down from the Archer Lodge Fire Department this morning (Monday) is being treated as suspicious.

Around 12:45am, flames heavily damaged a home at 6589 Covered Bridge Road and also burned a vehicle parked beside the home.  No injuries were reported.

The Johnston County Fire Marshal and Johnston County Sheriff’s Office are jointly investigating.   Officials tell WTSB News the fire started at the rear of the home and there was no immediate reason why the fire started.

The Archer Lodge, Corinth Holders, Clayton and Thanksgiving Fire Departments responded. Johnston County EMS also responded and stood by at the scene. Photos courtesy
