A drive by shooting left a Johnston County home and car riddled with bullet holes. Authorities are now trying to figure out who committed the crime and why.
Around Noon on Saturday, a 26 year-old Clayton man said he left his home in the 1300 block of Guy Road. About 10 minutes later he said he received a call from a neighbor reporting someone had shot into his home multiple times.
Deputies said they discovered about 20 bullet holes in the front of the victims home, several bullet holes in the back of the house, and a car in the driveway also shot.
Witnesses reported seeing a suspicious older model gray Nissan, possibly a Sentra, in the area about the time the multiple shots were fired.
Damage to the home was placed at $10,000 and damage to the victim’s car at $5,000. Luckily, there were no injuries.
Anyone with any information about the shooting is asked to contact the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office at 919-989-5000.
