GOLDSBORO – The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the discovery of human remains outside of Goldsboro.
On November 20, deputies responded to an address in the 900 block of Dollard Town Road for the discovery of human remains. Detectives processed the scene and the remains were sent to the North Carolina Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for identification.
On December 10th, authorities received a call reporting human remains being located near the same address. Patrol deputies and detectives
responded and observed what appeared to be human remains in the caller’s yard. Officers searched an adjacent wooded area and located additional human remains.
The remains were sent to the North Carolina Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for analysis.
In a press release Thursday evening, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office said the investigation is ongoing and no additional information will be released at this time.
