The Nash County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after skeletal human remains were found Wednesday afternoon near the entrance to the Sandy Creek Gameland on Sumler Road in Castalia.
Authorities aren’t sure how long the remains have been there. The Medical Examiner’s Office is assisting and will try and determine the identity and possible cause of death.
