MEADOW COMMUNITY – Two people were transported to area hospitals after two vehicles collided on Interstate 40 in the Meadow community in southern Johnston County, around 5:40pm Sunday.
Johnston County EMS, Meadow Fire, and Newton Grove Fire responded to the collision involving a passenger car and SUV. The passenger car was located down an embankment. Two people in the car were transported to the hospital.
The State Highway Patrol is investigating the accident, which caused significant traffic delays until the scene could be cleared.
