FOUR OAKS – Northbound lanes of Interstate 95 just south of Four Oaks were closed for about two hours this morning (Thursday) following a multi-car accident.

Unconfirmed reports indicate the driver of a black sports car collided with the back of a utility trailer, hauling a skid steer, and being towed by a work truck. The truck and trailer came to rest across the northbound lanes, where it was immediately struck by a second passenger car unable to avoid the initial collision.

No serious injuries were reported, however, northbound lanes were closed until the wreckage and debris could be cleared.

Four Oaks Fire, Johnston County EMS, and the State Highway Patrol responded to the 6:15am accident.
