Johnston County Commissioners have approved a recommendation made by the Department of Social Services Board to appoint Denise Boyette as the interim director of the agency.
Boyette has most recently served as Human Services Deputy Director at the Department of Social Services (DSS).
She will serve as the interim DSS director until a permanent selection is made for former Director Tina Corbett who recently retired.
Boyette’s annual salary is $93,343. She will be given an additional stipend of $777 per month while she serves as interim.
A permanent replacement is expected to be made early next year.
