BUIES CREEK – After two seasons with the program, Campbell has promoted Isabella Bogdan to director of recruiting, announced Wednesday by head coach Braxton Harris.
In her new role, Bogdan will oversee all on-campus recruiting, including visits, correspondence with recruits and high school coaches, and depth chart management while serving as NFL liaison. She will also maintain recruiting software, while overseeing and developing recruiting communication.
A graduate assistant with the Camels over the last two seasons, Bogdan has assisted in football operations, recruiting and creative content in all facets, among other duties, all while working towards a master’s in applied leadership with a concentration in organizational leadership. She will complete her graduate work in May 2025.
Prior to Campbell, Bogdan worked in football operations and on-campus recruiting at her alma mater, James Madison, from January 2022 until April 2023, as an intern and volunteer, assisting with operations and prospect on-campus experience for the Dukes. The Pittsburgh, Pa. native also completed a football operations practicum during the 2021 season at JMU.
A former JMU track & field student-athlete, Bogdan competed for the Dukes from 2019-23. During that time, she also served as a Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) representative, including as a member of the wellness subcommittee, and participated in the Dukes Leadership Academy.
Bogdan graduated with a degree in sports and recreational management from JMU’s Hart School of Hospitality, Sport and Recreation Management in 2023 with minors in data analytics and general business.
Bogdan also completed a virtual business development internship with Villarreal Club de Fútbol (Valencia, Spain) of La Liga in the spring of 2021, fulfilling projects for the international development department.
She has also attended the Women in Sports Foundation Athlete Leadership Connection in New York City (October 2022) and the NCAA Career in Sports Forum in Indianapolis, Ind. (June 2022). Bogdan also owns certifications in Professional Sport Management (International Olympic Committee), Sport Marketing Essentials: NIL Certification (Front Office Sports) and Foundations of Leadership (National Society of Leadership and Success).
