The Johnston County Public School Board will use bond funds to pay for the purchase of 800 new Chromebooks for students at the new Thanksgiving Elementary School that will open in August 2021.
The board agreed to pay $290.51 each for the Chromebooks plus an additional $24.49 each for setting up and testing the devices prior to their arrival. The total price including taxes is $269,010. The Chromebooks come with a five year warranty.
