Johnston County Public Schools has begun posting the number of confirmed, school-related COVID-19 cases that are reported to us by the Johnston County Health Department. This will give families and staff more information about how the pandemic is impacting the school system.
Names and other identifying information, including school/site location, will not be released due to privacy laws and the sensitivity of this information.
Superintendent Dr. Eric Bracy said the dashboard is a result of the Board of Education’s intent to be transparent with the community about the pandemic. Bracy stated, “Like all other districts, JCPS is concerned about the well-being of our students, staff, and parents. This new tool will help our community make decisions based on the data.”
The COVID-19 dashboard will be available on the district’s website.
