SELMA – Two people were transported to the hospital following a two vehicle accident on Buffalo Road in the Selma city limits.
Selma Police said a passenger car crossed the centerline and collided with a Johnston County Public Schools (JCPS) van, Thursday afternoon.
Two people in the van, the driver and a student, sustained non-life threatening injuries and were transported to the hospital.
The driver of the car declined transport to the hospital.
Selma Police, Selma Fire and Johnston County EMS responded to the scene.
Was the driver looking down texting? Did the vehicle pull to the left? Did a big gust of wind push the driver over the double yellow line? Pick one…..
We need more patrol on that stretch of Buffalo road. 7-9am and 3-6pm it’s ridiculous and people drive recklessly. The people that live up and down this stretch of road, no longer feel safe when leaving their driveway. This used to be a peaceful community until it became the main thoroughfare the last several years.
You’re right about that. And the stop sign at Noble st. and Buffalo needs a light or something. With the train tracks there it would probably be complicated. And can they put something at the railroad crossing that doesn’t damage the road from all those trucks?
