JCSO: Persons Of Interest Sought In Incident At School

CLAYTON – The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) is seeking assistance in identifying three suspects.

On Saturday, August 31st around 3:09pm, three males went to American Leadership Academy, located at 3770 US Highway 70 Business West, Clayton.

After playing basketball for approximately 45 minutes, the suspects allegedly broke into five school buses on campus and discharged fire extinguishers inside four of the buses.

The JCSO said the suspects then entered the media building at the football field through a window, taking numerous items from inside.

The items taken were loaded into a silver two-door Honda Civic. The vehicle was loaded and left the area, leaving two of the individuals behind.

The Honda Civic returned approximately 20 minutes later and individuals loaded the remaining items before leaving the area. The vehicle appears to have extensive damage to the passenger side.

All three suspects are described by authorities as Hispanic males, with one of the suspects having numerous tattoos on his body (pictured above).
