Jewelry Valued At $30,000 Taken During Break-In

A thief made away with three jewelry boxes containing $30,000 in jewelry from a western Johnston County home.  The burglary was discovered at 10:39pm Saturday on White Memorial Church Road.

The homeowners left their residence around 2:15pm that afternoon. When they returned just over 8 hours later they discovered a side door had been forced open and the jewelry boxes missing.  The suspect or suspects also tampered with a tool box and unplugged a light from an outside shed.

No other items were reported missing.  The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
