Johnston County Animal Services Encourages Residents To Use Online Services When Possible

Smithfield, NC — Instead of coming in person to the Johnston County Animal Services facility, residents are being asked to use online services and information when possible.

“Our dedicated staff are continuing to work for you and coming up with new ways for you to conveniently conduct business without physically having to go into the Johnston County Animal Services facility,” animal services officials said Wednesday afternoon in a release.

Effective March 18, 2020:

  • Requests for field staff services, including injured or sick animals, cruelty and neglect complaints, bite complaints, and dangerous and aggressive dog complaints, can be made by calling 919-934-8474.
  • All shelter services, including intake and adoption, will be conducted by appointment.  Appointments can be made by calling 919-934-8474.
