Johnston County Commissioners approved the following appointments during their August 2023 meeting:
- Board of Health – David Pearce (unexpired term ending Feb. 28, 2025)
- Hospital Authority Board of Commissioners – William W. Massengill Jr., Jeff Parlier and Patricia Chisholm-Jones were nominated. The nominations will be sent to the Hospital Authority for review with the final appointments at the Johnston County Board of Commissioners September 2023 meeting. (3 year terms)
- Johnston-Lee-Harnett Community Action Board – Dawn C. Winn-Burdo (reappointed)(2 year term)
- Livestock Arena Management Board – Chad E. Holloman, Eric W. Honeycutt, Conner Edwin Peacock, Paul H. “Sonny” Howard Jr. (all reappointed)(2 year terms)
