SMITHFIELD – The Johnston County Board of Elections will participate in the “Vote in Honor of a Veteran” program this year. The program provides residents an opportunity to pay tribute to those who have served this country in the Armed Forces.
Any voter can honor a veteran on any Election Day by requesting a pin. Pins are provided for free by the State Board of Elections and each pin can be personalized with the name of the veteran a voter wishes to honor.
