The Johnston County Finance Department has been recognized for their work.
Finance Director Chad McLamb said the department received a Certificate of Achievement in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for its comprehensive annual financial report. The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and represents a significant accomplishment, McLamb to the County Board of Commissioner on Monday.
The GFOA is a nonprofit professional association serving about 17,500 government finance professionals.
