The Harnett County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the shooting of a Johnston County man.
Deputies were dispatched to the Dollar General at 72 Spring Hill Church Road in Lillington around 6:30pm Sunday for a report of a man suffering from a gunshot wound to his back.
The victim, 23 year-old Brandon Bryany of Clayton, told deputies an unknown suspect shot him during an attempted robbery while visiting friends nearby on Legacy Lane in Lillington.
Bryany was transported to the hospital. His condition was not released. No additional information on the suspect was released.

The same Dollar General store where the victim went to summon assistance was robbed by three assailants on January 9th.
