Relief Supplies From Johnston County Depart For Western NC

SMITHFIELD – The first four tractor trailer loads of donated goods pulled out around 5:00am Wednesday, escorted by Johnston County Sheriff’s deputies, heading a staging area in Hendersonville.

Nearly seven truckloads were filled by citizens and businesses in the first two days of a week-long drive effort to help our Western North Carolina neighbors.

The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office will continue accepting donations through the end of the week.

  1. What everyone has done is a blessing from God. When my wife and I dropped off or donations at the Cleveland Fire Department it made the heart feel warm to see the large amount of donations from other JOCO citizens. It is times like this it makes one feel proud to live in JOCO. Prayers for all the people in the mountains. Our hearts are with you.
