Johnston County officials announced this afternoon 22 confirmed COVID-19 cases. That number is up from 16 cases on Tuesday.
As of 11:00am, there were 1,584 cases in North Carolina including 10 deaths. 204 patients are hospitalized. Nine of the 10 deaths statewide are males.
By County, Mecklenburg has the largest number of cases with 444, followed by Wake with 195, and Durham with 126.
The NC Department of Health & Human Services says there are a total of 2,818 ventilators in North Carolina hospitals. As of Wednesday morning, 691 of those ventilators were in use on patients (not specific to COVID-19). This number does not reflect ventilators from other sources including ventilators purchased but not yet in use.
3,223 intensive care beds are available statewide with 856 in use as of this morning (not specific to COVID-19).
