BENSON – Brenda Harvey of Benson took a chance on a $50 scratch-off and won a $100,000 prize.
Harvey bought her lucky $10 Million Spectacular ticket from Don Lee’s Grocery & Grill on N.C. 50 in Willow Spring.
She arrived at lottery headquarters Monday to claim her prize and, after required federal and state tax withholdings, took home $71,514.
The $10 Million Spectacular game debuted in December with five top prizes of $10 million, 20 prizes of $1 million and 20 prizes of $100,000. Four $10 million prizes, 15 $1 million prizes and 14 $100,000 prizes remain to be claimed.
