A Kenly man was arrested on drug trafficking charges after being stopped by SAFE Team deputies on Interstate 95 near Four Oaks on Friday.
The officer had stopped a black SUV for a safe movement violation in the northbound lane near US 701 and reportedly discovered a quantity of cocaine in the vehicle along with drug paraphernalia items including digital scales.
Keith Lamont Barber, 48, of Old Pebble Lane, was charged with three counts of trafficking cocaine, and one count each of maintaining a vehicle for a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
