Jordan Family Continues Eagle Scout Tradition

Austin Tyler Jordan continued the Eagle Scout tradition when he received his Eagle Scout during a ceremony December 30th at First Presbyterian Church in Smithfield.

Austin is with Boy Scout Trooper 95 of Smithfield.

For his Eagle Scout Project, Austin built a deck and two air conditioning unit enclosures for the Smithfield Rescue Mission, a homeless shelter.

Austin continues the tradition and carries on the legacy.  His father Eddie Jordan received his Eagle Scout in 1989 and his brother Elias in 2014.

During the ceremony today, Austin was presented with the Eagle Scout Good Citizenship Award from Eagle Scout Coordinator Lewis W. Rice III on behalf of the Johnston County Marine Corps League Carry-On Detachment 1236. Also pictured is Austin’s Scoutmaster, Crystal Allen of Boy Scout Troop 95.

Austin is currently a freshman at East Carolina University and is majoring in Construction Management.
