Junior Cotillion Holds Grand Ball

SMITHFIELD – The National League of Junior Cotillions, Johnston County Chapter, held its annual Grand Ball at the Country Club of Johnston County on August 15, 2021. The Grand Ball was a semi-formal event and included a very special dance: a parent/child Fox Trot.

Emily Harris, director of the local Junior Cotillion said, “This is a marvelous opportunity for students to practice the social skills they have been practicing all year. I also love that these Junior Cotillion students are learning very important manners and etiquette that can often be missed in today’s digital and technology – heavy learning environments. These cotillion classes will help them the rest of their lives and we have a lot of fun in the process!”

The National League of Junior Cotillions is a three year etiquette and social dance training program that teaches thousands of students nationwide. Junior Cotillion classes for the 2021/2022 school year start September 12 and are open to all 5 th -8 th grade students in Johnston County.
