Junior Women’s League Accepting Applications For Community Impact Grants

The Junior Women’s League of Smithfield (JWL) is now accepting applications for Community Impact Grant recipients for the 2018-2019 league year.

The Community Impact Grant (CIG) allows the Junior Women’s League of Smithfield, Inc. to appropriate monies in a flexible manner to nonprofit community agencies that render services within Johnston County. Priority will be given to organizations whose projects directly benefit the lives of women and children within Johnston County. The monies allocated vary depending on the success of the Junior Women’s League of Smithfield’s fundraisers and shall not exceed $15,000 and shall be no less than $1,000.

The Junior Women’s League of Smithfield’s Board of Directors, in consultation with its general membership, will determine the designation and amounts of individual grants. CIG applications (5 copies) need to be received to the Junior Women’s League headquarters by 5:00PM, Tuesday, November 20, 2018. Agencies will be notified regarding CIG funding by January 25, 2019 and will be awarded at the JWL’s Big Night Out fundraiser event on June 22, 2019.
