SMITHFIELD – The Junior Women’s League of Smithfield has announced their annual “Letters from Santa” online fundraiser, running from November 12 to December 2, 2024. This holiday season, families, friends, and community members can spread joy and support a great cause by purchasing a personalized letter from Santa for just $7. All proceeds will benefit children in need through the Partnership for Children, the Boys and Girls Club of Johnston County, and children in Western North Carolina affected by Hurricane Helene.
A Heartwarming Tradition for a Worthy Cause
The Junior Women’s League of Smithfield has used the magic of the holiday season to bring the community together in support of local initiatives. This year’s fundraiser will extend focus on raising money for two vital efforts:
- Providing Warm Coats for Children in Johnston County: Many children in our area lack access to proper winter coats, and your donation will help provide new coats to children through the Partnership for Children and the Boys and Girls Club of Johnston County.
- Providing Warm Coats for Children Affected by Hurricane Helene in Western NC: Families in Western North Carolina are still recovering from the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene, and the League is committed to assisting with ongoing recovery efforts by providing children with new winter coats.
How It Works
To make a donation and request a personalized letter from Santa, simply visit www.jwlsmithfield.com between November 12 and December 2. For a $7 donation, you will receive a special, hand-crafted letter addressed to your child from Santa himself, complete with a personalized message. Each letter will be printed on festive stationery and mailed directly to the recipient in time for Christmas.
“This annual fundraiser brings so much joy to our community, and it’s an incredible way to give back during the holiday season,” said Dana Peterson, President of the Junior Women’s League of Smithfield. “Not only will these personalized letters bring a smile to children’s faces, but they’ll also help provide essential items to local children and families in need. We hope our neighbors will come together to make this a successful fundraiser and support those who need it most.”
