Kenly Woman Seriously Injured In Crash
A Kenly woman was seriously injured in a two-car accident Thursdaynight. It happened on Highway 581 at Highway 222.
Initial reports indicate a Chevy passenger car driven by Tammy Ellis, 45, of Kenly was traveling southbound on Highway 581 when her car was t-boned in the drivers side by a Cadillac operated by Kenneth Vaughn, 60, that reportedly never stopped for the stop sign at the rural intersection. Vaughn and his wife, Edna, 59, a passenger, sustained non-life threatening injuries in the crash.
Ellis was airlifted from the scene to Vidant Health in Greenville.
