Kimberly Jeffreys Receives Chief Justice’s Certificate Of Excellence Award

On March 17, at the North Carolina Association for Court Management Spring Educational Conference, Chief Justice Paul Newby presented the Chief Justice’s Certificate of Excellence award to Kimberly Jeffreys. Nominees of this award consisted of Judicial Branch employees who work in the District or Superior court judge’s office.

Kimberly was nominated by her peers and selected by the Chief Justice for professional excellence in the work of a Court Manager and for treating others with dignity and respect as everyone would like to be treated.

Kimberly serves as Court Manager for the 12th Judicial District comprised of Johnston, Harnett, and Lee counties under the direction of Chief District Court Judge Frank Wood. The 12th judicial district served as three of the four pilot counties for eCourts implementation across the State.

Kimberly is a North Carolina State Bar Certified Paralegal and received a B.S. degree in Management and Organizational Development from Mount Olive College and an A.A.S. degree in Paralegal Technology from Johnston Community College.

“Every person that enters the Courthouse, regardless of their role in the Judicial system, deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. You never know what a person is going through, so be kind and remember to smile. You, or a loved one, may be in their position one day,” said Jeffreys.
