The Smithfield Town Council has approved the appointment of Stuart Lee to a first term on the Smithfield Appearance Commission. Mr. Lee has served on the Principal Advisory Board in Johnston County for seven years. He is also involved in prison ministry at Johnston Correctional.
The Appearance Commission has three remaining vacancies. In addition, there are two in-town vacancies on the Board of Adjustment and two open positions on the Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission.
