The Brogden Fire Department received approval this week from Johnston County Commissioners to borrow up to $250,000 towards the purchase of a new fire truck.
The fire department will borrow the money from KS Bank which provided the lowest interest rate of 2.6 percent on the 10 year tax exempt loan.
The Brogden Fire Department will use the funds to purchase a 2020 tanker truck.
“They deserve one I can tell you that,” Commissioner Tony Braswell said. Commissioners unanimously approved the request.
