The Wilson’s Mills Fire Department will be purchasing a new 2019 Spartan MetroStar fire truck.
The Local Government Federal Credit Union (LGFCU) submitted the lowest bid to finance a loan for the truck. The $250,000 five-year loan has a 3.15 percent fixed interest rate. The fire department will make monthly payments of $4,508.85.
First Citizens Bank had submitted a bid with a higher interest rate of 3.59 percent.
