SMITHFIELD – Jamelynn Johnson, a proud Kenly native and alumna of North Johnston High School, has announced the release of her debut book, “Lito and Lita.”
Jamelynn, who excelled as a member of the volleyball, basketball, and softball teams during high school and earned the distinction of a two time x All-American at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke (UNCP), has ventured into the literary world with her first publication. In her youth she was often seen on a field supporting Micro Athletics. She played professionally for two seasons in Mobile, Alabama.
Currently working in clinical research, Jamelynn combines her passion for storytelling with her dedication to her professional career. “Lito and Lita” promises to captivate readers with its engaging narrative and heartfelt themes.
Johnson plans to visit Sardis Baptist Church and will be scheduled to read for Read Across America at local elementary schools in March.
Jamelynn is the daughter of Victoria Allen and Scottie Johnson.
