Local Business Honored For Flying Old Glory 88 Consecutive Years

The C.E. Barnes Store located on Buffalo Road in Archer Lodge has been in business for 88 years. While in business for 88 years, C.E. Barnes Store has flown the American Flag every day since they first opened in 1927.

The C.E. Barnes store, named after the late Charles Edgar Barnes is a family owned and operated business.

On Monday, the “Good Business Award” was presented to the Barnes family from members of the Johnston County Marine Corps League Carry-On Detachment #1236.
