The Johnston County Marine Corps League Carry-On Detachment has presented the July “Good Business Award” to Sheetz Gas Station on Highway 70 at Highway 42 in Clayton.

The “Good Business Award” was presented to the Clayton location for continuously and properly flying the American Flag at their location.

“I love that the Sheetz family flies the American Flag,” according to store manager Tina Durden.  “We honor and remember our fighting men and women and the families they came from that we as Americans will never forget their contribution to our Freedom.”

Sheetz Inc. is a chain of convenience stores owned by the Sheetz family.

Sheetz is headquartered in Altoona, Pennsylvania with stores across Pennsylvania, Maryland, North Carolina, Ohio, Virginia and West Virginia.  The company has a total of 17,000 employees.  In North Carolina that have 59 locations with about 3,800 employees.
