Local Group Of Teens & Young Adults With Autism To Host Christmas Craft Fair

CLAYTON – The Johnston County Social Group for Teens and Young Adults with Autism (SGTYA) will hold a Christmas Craft Fair on Saturday, November 5th from 10:00am – 12 Noon at Christ Community United Methodist Church in Clayton. The event is a fundraiser to benefit charity.

The handmade items range from custom-made Christmas cards to sachets to natural gel fresheners to one-of-a-kind wood burned coasters. Individual items will not exceed $7.

SGTYA will then donate all proceeds to benefit North Carolina-based Samaritan’s Purse.

Last Christmas, SGTYA put together gift-filled shoe boxes as part of Operation Christmas Child to benefit children in need through Samaritan’s Purse (pictured above). 

Christ Community UMC is located at 1082 Amelia Church Road in Clayton and is across the street from Clayton Community Park. SGTYA provides a safe place for 15- 23 year-old’s to meet monthly to have fun and make friends.

The group is sponsored and organized by the church’s Hispanic Ministry.
