Local Stars Shine Bright At CCMA Awards

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC – Three area musicians were recognized for their talents when the Carolina Country Music Association held its annual awards event at the Greg Rowles Legacy Theatre in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Paige King Johnson of Angier, Emma Grace Glover of Coats and Julia Golden of Cameron received accolades Jan. 18 for being some of the best in Carolina country music. 

Paige King Johnson, a past multiple CCMA winner, was awarded Female Artist of the Year for 2024. Her song, “I Thank God,” garnered the Christian Country Single of the Year honors.

“Humbled & honored doesn’t even begin to describe how I’m feeling after tonight’s Carolina Country Music Awards,” Johnson posted on Facebook following the show. “Thank you Jesus for this job & life of mine!”

Singer-songwriter Emma Grace Glover was celebrated as Best Songwriter.

“Being nominated by the CCMA for Songwriter of the Year was so amazing, so winning the award leaves me speechless,” Glover said. “I feel so blessed!”

Julia Golden was recognized as the Michael Comer Emerging New Artist.

“So honored to be a nominee, blessed to be a winner and humbled to stand alongside these talented Carolina Country Stars!” Golden posted on Facebook.

The annual CCMA event celebrates artists who were raised in or currently reside in North or South Carolina.
