The Clayton Chamber of Commerce has recognized Patricia Lytle as the Super Star Teacher of the Month for November. Super Star teachers demonstrate excellence and leadership in their classroom, creativity and motivation of their students and show a high level of commitment to our community.
Lytle, a teacher at Riverwood Elementary, has a unique ability to instill the love of learning in her students. She makes her science and social studies lessons innovative and engaging so that students always want to know more. Recently she gave up her planning for the week to share a cool science experiment with all seven of the first grade classrooms. Lytle is a leader in the classroom, the School Improvement Team Chairperson, assists in setting up before and after school clubs, and was a semi-finalist in the 2016-17 Teacher of the Year for Johnston County.
