Main Street Collision Under Investigation

CLAYTON – A Friday afternoon collision between a passenger car and SUV on Main Street at Atkinson Street in Downtown Clayton sent at least one person to the hospital.

The passenger car narrowly missed striking a house at the intersection.

Johnston County EMS, Clayton Fire, and Clayton Police responded to the 1:00pm accident. Main Street traffic was limited to one lane until the scene could be cleared.
