The Harnett County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the deaths of two people at a home near Erwin.  At 6:23pm Tuesday, deputies were dispatched to a report of a suicidal person at 3093 Beaver Dam Road.

Deputies arrived and found an unconscious man in the front yard suffering from a gunshot wound.  Deputies continued to search the property and found a deceased woman inside the home. The female victim, 48 year-old Tena Glover, had signs of trauma as if she may have been beaten.

The male, 52 year-old Randy Glover, was transported to Wake Med in Raleigh where he died as a result of his injuries.

According to a statement from Sheriff Wayne Coats the investigation is still in its early stages. The Sheriff said it appears to be a domestic violence homicide isolated to this address.

Tena Glover was an employee for the City of Dunn’s Public Utilities Department.  The City of Dunn released a statement Wednesday saying, “The City of Dunn is deeply saddened and dismayed by the untimely and unfortunate death of Mrs. Glover. Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends as well as to the men and women of our Public Utilities Department. Mrs. Glover was a valued employee who will be remembered for her enthusiastic dedication to the city of Dunn for the past seven years.”

Additional details are expected to be released by the sheriff’s office following the completion of an autopsy and further investigation.
