Man Arrested After Deputies Respond To Business Parking Lot

BENSON – Johnston County deputies arrested a Four Oaks man after responding to a welfare check in the parking lot of a business on NC 210 at Interstate 40.

William Vaughan Olive, age 34, of Meade Drive, is facing numerous charges including possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a vehicle/dwelling for a controlled substance, simple possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.

On December 27 around 5:14pm, officers responded to a report from a concerned citizen a man was asleep behind the wheel of his vehicle in the store parking lot.

Responding deputies said they found William Olive slumped over behind the wheel with drug paraphernalia in plain sight.

Olive was awakened and removed from his vehicle. During a search, approximately 40 Xanax pills and two bags of suspected methamphetamine weighing a total of 10 grams was located.

Olive was transported to the Johnston County Detention Center and given a $20,000 secured bond.

  1. Was he listening to “they said I had to go to rehab but I said no, no, no. They said I had to go to rehab but I won’t go, go go”???? God help our addicted citizens receive help or want to receive help. Or at least accept Jesus as their Savior.
