Man Arrested For Fraud

Sheriff’s deputies have charged a local man with selling a vehicle, valued at $2,000, to a Smithfield recycling business earlier this month after it was removed from a location on Davis Mill Road near Selma.

Donnie Cleveland Anderson, 57, of Partridge Drive, Smithfield was arrested March 24th and charged with obtaining property by false pretenses, a felony.

Johnston County Sheriff’s Captain Jeff Caldwell said Anderson did not have permission or authority to sell the vehicle.
